In Touch: An Outstanding Award

In Touch: An Outstanding Award

By Betty Miller Buttram
FWIS Contributing Writer

To have one’s achievements overlooked in an article about the Fort Wayne Debutante Cotillion in the FWIS issue of March 30, 2023, was disheartening to the young lady who received an award.  Her accomplishment was not mentioned, therefore, not printed in that article.

I apologize to Debutante La’Nayshia Foster for any discourtesy to her and her family. La’Nayshia Foster received the Award for the Highest Number of Ads/Patrons.

Debutante La’Nayshia Foster is a Junior at R. Nelson Snider High School and the daughter of Lanard Foster and Latoya Lovett.  She attends Kingdom Door Christian Worship Church.  Her activities involve dancing, braiding hair, and volunteering.  Her philosophy is to “Treat others as you want to be treated.”  La’Nayshia plans to attend college and study nursing.  Debutante Foster’s escort was DeAlcapon Veazy, the son of Eric Veazy and Skye Grigsby.

Congratulations, La’Nayshia, and all the best in future accomplishments.
