Teenage Sunday at the Jennings Center When: June 3, 2018

The Albert G. Jennings held its 60th Annual Teenage Sunday at the Jennings Center Recreation Center, 1330 McCulloch Street, where Michael Ayers is the Director.

Two scholarships, for outstanding achievement and performance in scholarship, community participation, attitude, and character, were given to Al’Yson Harris and Ashlee Holloway.

Harris, daughter of Glora Thomas and Rodney Harris, is a graduate of South Side High School. She will attend IUPUI and wants to be a dental hygienist.

Ashlee Holloway, a South Side graduate, is the daughter of Kimberly Holloway.  Ashlee will attend Indiana University, Bloomington and major in special education.  

Jordan Bridges, the 2017 Jennings Center Scholarship winner and sophomore at Purdue University, West Lafayette was the guest speaker for Teenage Sunday.  

Michael Ayers, Jennings Center’s Director, presented Jamarcus Martin, a third grade honor roll student at Price Elementary, with the 2018 Jennings Center Youth of the Year Award.

“Life is short. We should respect every moment of it,” Director Ayers said.
