66th Annual Wassail Celebration When: December 2, 2018

For the sixty-sixth time, the Jennings Recreation Center (the McCulloch Center before the name change in the mid-1990s), 1330 McCulloch Street, hosted the two-hour Wassail Celebration Christmas event titled “Coming Together.” Onnie Jordan served as the Mistress of Ceremony for the performance-fueled event that included, among other highlights, a telling of Wassail history, a rendition of the black national anthem, a musical selection by Christa Denea dance selection by the Weisser Akoma Dance Crew. Charles Jackson (pictured above), present at the first Wassail, said the annual event was a “time to come together. Fellowship. Have some fun!”
