ACPL Hosts Vaccine Clinics in Partnership with Super Shot

As flu season approaches, the Allen County Public Library (ACPL) is
once again partnering with local nonprofit Super Shot to provide free flu vaccinations at
library branches throughout the county. This ongoing collaboration, which began in 2021,aims to make preventive care more accessible to the community.
Super Shot will be on-site at ten ACPL branches to administer flu vaccines to individuals aged 6 months and older. These clinics are open to the public, and no one will be turned away due to inability to pay. While a $15 administration fee is requested for those without insurance, assistance is available, and the priority remains on protecting public health.
“The library is a place where people go for support and resources, and as such, we believe the library can play a key role in public health,” said Susan P. Baier, Executive Director of ACPL. “Access to vaccines is essential for a healthy community and by bringing Super Shot vaccine clinics into our branches, we’re helping ensure that vital preventive care is both convenient and accessible for everyone in our community.”

• September 26 from 1 - 5:30 p.m. at the Main Library - Meeting Room A
