A Quick and Healthy Snack Recipe

As the season starts to change and the kids head back to school, we are faced with the task of coming up with quick and healthy things to eat. We also crave crunchy, salty, sweet flavors. Check out these Apple Nachos and feel free to add your own spin. I’ve added shredded coconut and hempseeds on mine before, yummy!

3 Reasons to Love This Recipe:

1. Seasonal Apples: Fresh apples are in season, which means they are at their best - juicy, crisp, and filled with natural sweetness.

2. Packed with Goodness: Apples provide both fiber, which aids digestion and keeps you feeling full, and a list of essential vitamins.

3. Satisfying and Simple: This recipe hits all the flavor notes and will satisfy your hunger. You may already have the ingredients on hand!

Crafted Apple Nachos

2 Apples, sliced
2 Tablespoons Peanut Butter, slightly melted for easy drizzling
-¼ cup Granola
-½ cup Mixed Berries (like blueberries, strawberries)
1 Tablespoon Honey
2 Tablespoons Chopped Nuts (almonds, walnuts, or your choice)

How to Assemble

1. Arrange apple slices aesthetically on a plate.
2. Drizzle the melted peanut butter generously over the apple slices.
3. Sprinkle the granola and chopped nuts evenly.
4. Scatter the berries to add color and taste.
5. Finish with a light drizzle of honey for that touch of sweetness.
