New Local Handmade Clothing Boutique Focuses on Empowerment Paying it Forward is Part of the Mission

Fort Wayne, Ind.— Oluchi Boutique by Lisa recently opened its doors in Fort Wayne with a goal of fostering growth and development not only for women in the Summit City but also for entrepreneurs in Kenya.

Oluchi Boutique is located at 2327 Spy Run Avenue and offers one-of-a-kind clothing designs under the Voluptuous Beauty Collection brand for plus and petite-sized women, as well as accessories like wigs, eyelashes, jewelry, and more. It’s also one of few locations offering art and jewelry from Kenya. Sales of these items go toward fostering economic growth and job opportunities in that country.

“My boutique is all about elevating a woman’s style and empowering her spirit. I design unique outfits that I feel help women express their unique personality,” says Lisa Hines, Oluchi Boutique owner. “I will often shop and cannot find anything I like. I'm in between regular size and plus size. I buy it just because I needed it, not because I wanted it. I thought, let me fix the problem. And that's how Oluchi came about.”

Oluchi Boutique provides a personalized shopping experience where staff assists customers in finding the perfect products to match their style and preferences. Oluchi offers fashion consultations to help clients put together stylish outfits that look tailored.

Kenya holds a unique and cherished place in Hines’ heart as well as with her sister Joanne’s. “Our joint love for jewelry making and clothes design has not only deepened our connection but has also allowed us to appreciate the intricate craftsmanship and vibrant artistry that Kenya offers, making our experiences in this beautiful country truly special and memorable.” She further shares, “I also feel it is important to create a way for my customers to help empower others. Buying Kenyan products directly impacts businesses, artisans, farmers, and others in that country,” she adds. Supporting Kenyan products promotes cultural exchange and appreciation. “We can all make a difference in the lives of the Kenyan people,” says Hines.
